SISLER JOHNSTON INTERIOR DESIGN COMPLETES
ICI MODEL AT PALM COAST PLANTATION

The Sea Mist by ICI Homes at Palm Coast Plantation features Sisler Johnston Interior Design.
JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA - Sisler Johnston Interior Design has completed the installation of The Sea Mist model home by ICI Homes at Palm Coast Plantation.

"The Sea Mist is a beautifully designed garden home with an exceptional floor plan designed by a talented architectural group and ICI's professional staff," said Judith Sisler Johnston, president of Sisler Johnston Interior Design and ASID Allied Member. "As this home demonstrates, ICI builds homes of great beauty and lasting value."

The Sea Mist's front leaded glass entry door opens into a wide foyer. The 20-inch European floor tiles are laid on a diagonal and surround a welcoming staircase that combines painted pickets with natural wood handrails. The foyer furniture piece is a striking Bombay chest. It has pewter hardware and is finished in mahogany, which is inlaid with light maple wood tones. A gothic-style mirror above the chest coordinates with the pewter and gold hardware tones.

The center of the family entertainment area is the two-story great room, designed to bring the outdoor views in. High transom windows and 8' sliding glass doors to the lanai flood the room with light. Tropical window designs add style to the transom windows while cascading textured panels add softness to the floor-to-ceiling windows.

The great room is designed in warm khaki with soft sage and raspberry accents. A full size sofa and loveseat provide ample seating while accent pillows provide color and contrast. There's a dramatic framed oil painting over the sofa and a beautiful European designed wood entertainment center dominates the great room. It holds a large screen television and the shelves hold decorative accessories.

The open kitchen features staggered raised panel honey maple cabinets with double crown moulding trim, a bisque solid surface countertop and stainless steel appliances. A handpainted rainforest sisal rug defines the breakfast room, which has an iron base glass top table. Sisler Johnston combined traditional style iron side chairs with parson style host chairs in a neutral textured pattern and added colored cording for contrast.

The first floor master suite has British Colony style furnishings with pineapple finials, a shell motif and wicker insert panels for comfort and style. Sisler Johnston selected draperies and a comforter in a soft clay color, infusing a dark sage tropical pattern into the shams and accent pillows.

Sisler Johnston designed the home office for the fishing enthusiast, applying a small print fishing lure patterned wall covering above the chair rail. The room includes a three piece decorative bookcase, a free standing mahogany desk, executive chair and two guest chairs. Cascading drapery panels with large tassels add style to the wall of palladium windows. There is a wonderful landing on the home's second floor designed as a second home office with a table desk. The sitting area features a dark sage wicker chair and an oversized bird cage with a glass top creates an interesting accent table.

The upstairs bonus room has a huge wet bar with faux granite countertops. Designed with British Colony furnishings for family entertainment, the bonus room is furnished with a double door rattan entertainment center, a game table with inlaid wicker chess board top and two player chairs. Sisler Johnston used a subtle sage and camel pinstripe corduroy on the sofa while a palm tree fabric adorns the armless lounge chairs.

The upstairs master suite features a king-size iron poster bed and furnishings combining mahogany-toned wicker and wood. Fabric and paint in neutral tones make this space a soothing oasis while cherry and lime accents provide lively color.

The upstairs guest room is designed with a nautical theme as seen in the sailing ships on the hand-painted dresser and nightstand. For the bed's headboard, the Sisler Johnston team custom designed a skipper's wheel with nautical rope accents. The sailing motif is evident in the window valences, decorative lamps and wall coverings.

Sisler Johnston also designed the community clubhouse for Palm Coast Plantation's developer, Florida Waterway Properties. The gated community is located west of the Intracoastal Waterway and South of Palm Coast in Flagler County.
