JACKSONVILLE, Florida –The Stonebridge by ICI Homes is one of the homebuilder's best-selling designs and the newest model to open in Palencia, the award-winning, master-planned golf community in St. Johns County. The model home features the work of Sisler Johnston Interior Design.

The sound of rushing water from a multi-tiered garden brook provides an inviting approach to the entry's majestic proportions. The entry gallery has a hand-painted bombe chest in green, goldenrod, and ivory topped by a tall bronze-gilded mirror with an arched relief.

The entry gallery leads past the formal living room, dining room and home office to arrive in a two-story gathering room. Sisler Johnston chose wide-plank distressed cherry wood flooring for the gallery, family room and kitchen and breakfast room. Plush camel frieze twist carpeting adds coziness to the living room, dining room and bedroom areas.

In the living room, granny apple green accent paint was applied to the architectural picture moulding, foyer niche, the double niches over the fireplace, and on the adjacent gathering room walls. The living room conveys warm, spacious appeal and boasts a 12' ceiling height and large windows with transoms above. The upholstery is a croissant beige grid with colorful green, red orchid and cobalt blue patterned pillow and chair accents. The window designs are geometric with patterned inserts that coordinate with the chairs and decorative pillows.

The dining room showcases a new Moroccan-inspired collection. The console is a rich walnut and has iron-paneled doors with an oversized medallion as an art element above. The dining room chairs are grand in scale and covered in European jacquard fabric. Sisler Johnston chose an estate sized pendant chandelier and tall winding buffet lamps to complement the exotic setting. Orchid permanent botanicals add colorful intrigue.

The family room, breakfast room and kitchen provide a spacious setting for family entertainment. The kitchen cabinetry is cherry with a chocolate glaze. Numerous millwork options have been designed into the kitchen including the mantle detail over the gourmet cook top. The Italian granite countertops extend into the breakfast bar.

Throughout the home, Sisler Johnston selected leather and fabric collages in the upholstery, including a sofa and a chair-and-a-half in the family room. A subtle tropical leaf pattern covers the cushions while the leather decking is embellished with jumbo nail heads. The coordinating cocktail ottoman is also leather and fabric patterned. A large screened plasma television is fastened to a raised paneled entertainment console. Since the gathering room is a two-story space, Sisler Johnston designed multiple window dressings for both stories of windows that are distinctive from each other while complementing the room's generous proportions.

The home office has hardwood floors with patterned area carpeting. Sisler Johnston selected a black rubbed cherry bookcase hutch and working desk to accompany the fabric and leather chair combination.

The master retreat has a king-sized Moroccan-inspired poster bed, a triple dresser and a decorative round fluted mirror. The addition of a hand-painted writing desk demonstrates the capacity of the master suite. Matched chairs are nestled in a bay of windows.

The master bath has double vanity areas, a walk-in shower, whirlpool tub, and a private water closet. ICI provides a glass block window wall for light plus privacy. Sisler Johnston dressed this window wall in decorative fabrics trimmed with jeweled cording.

Sisler Johnston recaptured a large storage closet located under the stairs as a play space for young children. A talented faux-painting artist created a tree house retreat complete with a hand scrolled sign reading "NO GIRLS ALLOWED."

Ascending the home's dramatic grand architecture staircase, visitors discover the second floor holds three secondary bedrooms and an upstairs bonus room. The girl's room has a window seat which radiates country home charm. The crème painted dresser provides contrast to the apple green mirror and headboards. Comforters are crème Mattalasse while shams and bed skirts are covered in floral and striped fabrics. Coral accent paint anchors the bed wall.

The boy's bedroom shares the Jack-and-Jill bathroom and has been designed to appeal to the Superheroes fan. Sisler Johnston's faux-painting artist created a realistic Spider-Man mural to greet and surprise visitors. Superhero memorabilia fills the bookcase while a homework desk has superhero posters covering the bulletin board.

The guest room shares a bath with the bonus room and has a queen sized mahogany bed with leather padded headboard inserts. Bed linens are sage fern silk adorned with trims, cords, and tassels, offering elegant provisions for visiting relatives and friends.

The corridor to the bonus room has a wall of built-in bookcases for family photos and favorite books and accessories. The bonus room reflects the habitat of the Palencia golfer. Window valences are shaped as shields in tartan fabrics and cascade from golf clubs instead of rods. The coffee table has a golf bag and clubs as its sculpted base. A combination of woven rattan and vintage espresso mahogany wood furnishings complete the festive sporting theme.
