SISLER JOHNSTON INTERIOR DESIGN COMPLETES
FOUR ICI MODELS AT BELLA TERRA AT PALENCIA

ST. AUGUSTINE, Florida - Sisler Johnston Interior Design has completed the design of four ICI model homes at Palencia's Bella Terra. Each home has a distinctive European theme - Mediterranean, Old World, Tuscan and French Country - inspired by homes situated along the Mediterranean coast of Italy, France and Spain.

"I always enjoy working with ICI Homes' North Florida Division President Don Wilford and his talented team," said Judith Sisler Johnston, president, Sisler Johnston Interior Design and ASID Allied Member. "Don has such a natural ability when it comes to designing floor plans, features and unique elevations. We selected the finest materials to create the ambiance of a European Village at Bella Terra. Each model rekindles the warmth seen in homes throughout the European coast."

The Versailles model is designed in French Country style. The kitchen seats six and opens into the family room, dining room and gallery to create an inviting entertainment area. Sisler Johnston selected dill and thyme color accents to accompany regal gold and bronze backgrounds. The home's architectural features include coffered ceilings, arched openings, decorative pillars and refined millwork. The master suite bathroom has elaborate stone embellishments, while a turret-shaped bedroom with a curved iron canopy bed transforms a young girl's room into a princess' suite.

The Milan model reflects the Tuscan countryside. The home's furnishings are enhanced with a black rubbed-through-to-pine finish. Black accents are woven throughout the home in fabrics and accessories. Spring basil and rose wine colors complete the palette. The luxurious first floor master suite features a coffered ceiling, elongated windows and access to the outdoor lanai. There is also a spacious home office. Sisler Johnston extended the distressed walnut flooring from the foyer throughout the home's living and entertainment areas.

The Milan has a two-story great room with a feature wall of windows and a stacked stone fireplace wall surrounded with glazed brown cherry custom millwork. Sisler Johnston designed soft basil textured drapery panels with black print scarf jabots and long fringe. The adjoining kitchen has glazed brown cherry cabinetry with a breakfast area that boasts seating for six. The rectangular table and chairs feature black distressing and wheat woven cane seats. Custom seat cushions coordinate with the great room accents to enhance the flowing design.

The Milan has a sunny loft game room upstairs overlooking the great room. The game room has a coffered ceiling, built-in homework centers, a poker table and comfortable sectional sofa. For movie viewing, one of the upstairs bedrooms is designed with surround sound and theater-style seating. Sisler Johnston enlisted the help of mural artist Jeffrey Maisonette to paint a movie marquee surrounding the entrance. His talents are also on display in the contemporary surfer-themed bedroom designed for a teenage girl. Because ICI builds homes with plenty of storage, Sisler Johnston transformed an upstairs bonus closet into a gift wrapping center.

Designed in European coastal style, the Portifino model has a color palette of chili pepper and maize with touches of pesto. The home opens into a wide foyer and gallery. Large scale rustic tile flooring encompasses the living areas including the gallery and bathrooms. A brown walnut Spanish-style table with trestle base seats six in the formal dining room. An armless loveseat upholstered in a Cajun spice and gold geometric jacquard sits on one side of the table. Chairs with leather upholstery, exposed wood and metallic studded trim provide additional seating in this spectacular setting.

"I added a strong block of color on the feature wall and framed it with trim molding," Sisler Johnston said. "I clipped the corners to reinforce the geometric shape and mounted large wood and iron candelabras within each room." A butler's pantry leads to the kitchen, which has brown maple glazed cabinets, granite counters and a brick feature wall. The same style brick is also shown as a rubbed-through accent on the round adobe corner fireplace in the adjacent family room.

In the family room, Sisler Johnston designed the sectional sofa using a collage of different adobe colored fabrics to create an interesting effect. ICI Homes outfitted the room with a wall of custom millwork to display the flat screen television and entertainment components. The home also has a wonderful outdoor family room with fireplace, summer kitchen and comfortable seating.

Hardwood flooring enhances the home office, which is outfitted for the fishing enthusiast. The master bedroom has designer signature furnishings in walnut with iron inlays and posts. The generous seating area reinforces the adobe theme with two lounge chairs covered in soft maize suede with exposed jumbo nail head trim. The children's bedrooms highlight different pursuits. The boy's room reflects a camping/outdoor theme and the girl's room is designed for a sophisticated tween with an interest in music.

The Castillo model is a courtyard home with a refreshing pool designed in a spa blue color throughout. The kitchen has espresso brown cabinets stacked to the ceiling with multiple glass front doors and built-in counter-height seating. The kitchen flows into the dining room and family room. Large scale travertine patterned tile flooring is used throughout the home; only the bedrooms have carpeting. One of the bedrooms is designed as a home office with wet bar. It contains classic contemporary furnishings with rich brown wood tones and soft spa blue upholstery. The master suite has a grand scale walk-through closet. Another bedroom is designed for the high school music student with drums and guitar décor. There is also a guest suite located over the garage that contains a Chippendale-style rattan bed with tropical spa toned bed coverings and contrasting cane paneled bed chests.
