JACKSONVILLE, Florida - Sisler Johnston Interior Design has put the finishing touches on a new design studio for Mattamy Homes that houses a comprehensive array of designer appointments and finishes while reflecting the homebuilder's quality and style. The design studio is located at Mattamy Home's Jacksonville headquarters on Belfort Parkway.

Sisler Johnston provided color accents, wall coverings, furnishings, accessories and decorative window dressings to enhance the design studio's setting. With nearly 2,700 square feet of space, the studio is both comfortable and private, featuring soft natural lighting.

The reception area illustrates a grand family room with comfortable sofa and lounge chair seating facing a feature wall containing a fireplace, built-in cabinetry and the latest entertainment technology offered by Mattamy Homes. The wide plank wood flooring has a distressed finish and beveled edges. Sisler Johnston added soft beige area rugs patterned in chocolate, sage green and wild cherry to define the cozy seating area. To customize the space, the windows are draped in golden panels inset with the geometric accent fabric also used on the sofa pillows. Classic contemporary begere chairs in sage corduroy sit next to a hand-painted oval cocktail table.

The kitchen design area demonstrates some of the lighting, cabinets, countertops, appliances and other choices available to Mattamy homebuyers. Sisler Johnston selected sage textured wall coverings to provide contrast for the cherry chocolate glass-front cabinets, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances in one vignette. Barstools have carved tobacco leaf backs in cherry with seats covered in brushed chenille leopard.

Several bathroom and dressing room vignettes showcase the range of available options including Mattamy Homes' signature claw-footed tub to the modern garden tub spa. The dressing rooms have glass-front curio cabinets, mirror-mounted lighting and demonstrate plumbing fixtures in oil-rubbed bronze and brushed nickel.

The design studio is organized by finish types and includes areas for lighting, flooring, cabinetry, countertops and hardware options. To highlight the myriad choices, Sisler Johnston added splashes of sage as accents on feature walls. As visitors move from room to room and area to area within the studio, they experience how the finishes look in a home setting so they can make the selections that will best suit their furnishings and style.
