JACKSONVILLE, Florida – Sisler Johnston Interior Design has completed the interior design of Florida Club at Deerwood, a new Mediterranean-style community offering two- and three-bedroom luxury apartment homes.

Located in Jacksonville’s Southside, Florida Club at Deerwood is designed to attract young professionals and features cutting-edge amenities, including a cyber café, billiards room, media room and fitness center. Sisler Johnston Interior Design was commissioned by the developer, Dayco Holding Corp., to provide interior design services, including interior finishes and detailing for the residents club and individual apartment homes.

“Dayco wanted to offer renters the same upscale interior appointments associated with fine single-family homes,” said Judith Sisler Johnston, president of Sisler Johnston Interior Design and ASID Allied Member. “What makes these apartment homes so distinctive are the well-planned interior spaces and finishes.”

The interior selections add design style in every space. Tile flooring flows from the apartments’ entries into the kitchens and bathrooms. There is coordinating wall tile in the bathrooms along with nutmeg maple cabinetry with granite-patterned laminate countertops in the kitchens and bathrooms. Sisler Johnston Interior Design also selected professionally color-coordinated carpeting and paint colors for each apartment home.

Florida Club at Deerwood offers two spacious floor plans, both designed with an in-home office space and walk-in closets as standard features. Apartment homes are fully equipped with all appliances, including a washer/dryer and window coverings. Sisler Johnston Interior Design also furnished two apartment models for potential residents to tour.

The community centerpiece is its 4,316-square-foot clubhouse. The Residents Club provides a home for the community’s leasing and management operation as well as spaces for residents to enjoy. Sisler Johnston Interior Design developed an urban-chic contemporary design and introduced a palette of chocolate and soft spa tones.

The community room has 24-inch toned porcelain stone tile flooring in shades of oro gold with walls bathed and accented in aqua tones. The window treatments are modern, tailored panels layered in alternating colors of alabaster and spa blue. An estate-sized, custom-designed area rug in chocolate with ribbons of seabreeze and splash blue defines the seating area. The Hudson Street Collection furnishings highlight coffee-toned woods with inlays and parquet detailing. A six-cushion, sectional sofa features aqua and chocolate geometric-patterned upholstery while the opposing large-scaled lounge chairs with exposed wood detail are upholstered in a contrasting, yet complementary, fabric.

Several elements in the community room add sparkle. The large oval-shaped cocktail table has distinctive styling and a hand-applied metallic finish in silver and champagne. Adjacent to the seating area, the refreshment bar features custom-designed cabinetry with a Giallo gold granite countertop. The bar area also has a convenient window serving counter, making it easier to deliver refreshments to residents enjoying the community pool.

The club room is home to a regulation-size billiards table with pub tables and snack bar. There is an expansive media room designed with reclining leather theater chairs and a large flat screen television.

The wall-mounted water feature adds artistic style with a relaxing ambiance. Sisler Johnston Interior Design provided interior millwork details for the walls and architecturally inspired window dressings. The Residents Club also includes a business center which features a lending library and an upscale, spacious fitness center with professional quality exercise equipment overlooking the large outdoor pool and amenities.
